Easy birthday ideas for your dog? Ummm Yes, please! I’m confident I can speak on behalf of everyone when I say that our furbabies are part of the family and only fellow fur-parents could understand our love and bond that we all share with them.

Throwing a dog birthday party is more common now than ever, and the good news is that there is a lot of fun things you can do. Whether you are a family dog parent or a single dog parent (like me), there are many ways to celebrate your furbabies big day.

Easy Birthday Ideas for Your Dog

Host a Dog Birthday Party

Yup! This is a thing. Hosting a dog birthday is pretty easy as long as you are prepared. Invite your friends and family over and their dogs for a relaxed BBQ and cake (dog-friendly cake).

Tip: If this is your first time hosting a dog birthday party, I would suggest starting small with only a few dogs, it can get a little boisterous, and our dogs can get carried away.

You can serve a dog-friendly cake for everyone to share as well as giving out some doggy bags filled with take-home treats and other goodies.

Be sure to have plenty of bowls with fresh water and a few beds or blankets for the dogs to chill out on.

Head to the Toy Store

Yup, take your dog to the dog store and let them choose their very own toy and treats. They will have a blast smelling every single thing and picking their toy is lots of fun. I’ve done this with Harley, and she loves it, and she knows what she wants too. She loves the squeaker tennis balls and the gummies toys.

Bake a Cake

You can show your love by baking them a yummy dog-friendly cake. They are super easy to make. I made a cake for Harley last year, and she loved it.
I’ve made a few birthday recipes which you can check out below:

Movie Night

For me, this is my favourite thing to do. Putting on a good movie, my pj’s and grabbing my doona and curling up on the couch with Harley is the best feeling. Just spending good quality time together is the best.

How do you celebrate your dog’s birthday?
